Evelyn Smith, born and raised in Johnsonville NC, has always had a passion for gospel music from listening to it, and now playing it. As a child, born into a family of music, she always enjoyed gospel music and attending church. She's a very active in her local church.

With dreams and aspirations of being o a gospel radio station announcer at a younger Evelyn "G" Smith never in a million years imagined that she'd be living one of her dreams of being a radio personality. Ms. Smith joined WXKL1290 radio station
in 2001 under the late Mr. James Thomas.

In her spare time, she enjoys attending singing programs, working at the radio station and spending time with family and love ones.

You can find Evelyn G on Saturday mornings from 7:00 AM to 12:00PM. You can hear her sign off with " I Love YOU, and there is nothing you can do about it"!
